Uren’s flavour division continues to grow, and one of the newest additions to the team is Georgie English, who joined the business in July 2025 as Flavour Sales Manager.
Georgie brings a blend of technical understanding, commercial experience and a genuine interest in how flavours shape modern food products.
“I have always been curious and enjoy learning from different perspectives,” she says. That curiosity led her to Dairy Crest, where she completed a Foundation Degree in Dairy Technology.
The mix of food science, engineering and practical cheese making introduced her to new product development and, eventually, to flavours.
“I found it fascinating how one small change can shift the whole profile of a product,” she adds.
Georgie has worked across both R and D and commercial roles. One project from her time at Dairy Crest stands out. She supported the development of a prebiotic syrup from early lab trials through to factory commissioning and launch into international markets. That period also included working with overseas partners on commercial operations. “I was part of a high performing and supportive team, and it made a real difference to the outcome,” she says.
At Uren, Georgie is looking forward to bringing that combination of technical and commercial insight into flavour development. She enjoys spending time with customers to understand what they are trying to achieve. “Every brief is different. Listening first and then exploring the possibilities with our innovation team is something I really enjoy,” she explains. Working on new flavour concepts and seeing how they behave in real applications is a part of the job she finds motivating.
Outside of work, Georgie likes variety. She often tries new hobbies, from book clubs and running to tag rugby, sound baths and hot yoga. She is also teaching herself to play the guitar.
Georgie joins Uren at a busy time for the flavour division, with customer interest in new profiles, cleaner formulations and global influences continuing to grow. Her mix of curiosity, technical grounding and commercial understanding makes her a strong addition to the team as Uren continues to support customers across multiple categories.
