IQF Vegetables Product List

Product List - IQF Herbs & Vegetables

Uren can supply individually quick frozen (IQF) chickpeas packaged and delivered either directly or into a cold store for service deliveries. We can supply IQF chickpeas in a variety of sizes to suit manufacturing needs including:

  • IQF Whole Chickpeas

Chickpeas, also known as garbanzo beans, are part of the legume family and are a pale, round, creamy pea. Particularly popular in Indian, Mediterranean, and Middle Eastern cuisines, they are best known for their use in hummus.

Chickpeas are a nutrient-dense food and are incredibly high in protein, providing 20% of a person’s daily intake. This makes them an excellent replacement for meat in vegan and vegetarian diets. They are also full of vitamins, minerals, and fibre, helping to improve digestion and aid weight loss. IQF chickpeas have the same nutty taste, grainy texture, colour and nutritional profile of fresh chickpeas, but with the convenience and longer shelf life of a frozen product.

Process:

Our IQF chickpeas are sourced from our expert, accredited growers and are harvested when the peas inside have grown large and the plants have dried out, to ensure the best quality product. They are then taken to the factory to be washed and thoroughly inspected for defects. The chickpeas are then rapidly frozen at very low temperatures to ensure maximum freshness and a free-flowing product.

Shelf life: 24 months from production

Packaged in 12kg cartons

Minimum Order Quantity: 1 pallet
