Dill, otherwise known as dillweed, is a part of the celery family, which is known as Apiaceae. It is a culinary herb with feathery leaves that branch out in all directions.

IQF dill has the same delicious taste, texture, colour, and aroma as fresh dill but with a much longer shelf life, which maximises its convenience.

Process:

Uren’s dill is sourced from our BRC accredited suppliers who we have many years of experience working with and is grown to industry standards.

Dill is sown from early spring to late summer and takes up to 90 days to fully grow. It is harvested by cutting off the leaves from the base of the stem, so they can grow back over time. Once the dill is harvested, it is then brought back to the factory to be washed, quality checked, and cut to size. The dill is then individually quick frozen at incredibly low temperatures to lock in freshness and prevent the formation of ice crystals ensuring a free-flowing product.
