Nuts Product ListProduct List – Peanuts & Tree Nuts
Blanched peanuts are a popular ingredient in snack bars, granola and any peanut product where presentation is key.
Naturally high in fat, protein and essential minerals, with a relatively long shelf life, the popularity of peanuts has been increasing in recent years. Blanched peanuts are often salted, roasted and/or blended with oil, salt or sugar to make a variety of products.
For almost a decade, Uren has sourced and supplied the highest quality peanuts globally. We offer a range of packaging options to our customers, get in touch with our team for further information or to get a quote.
What does the blanching process involve?
Blanching means that the nuts have been shelled, blanched, dried and peeled to remove the skin.
As a result of processing, the whole peanuts can separate and be classed as a 'split peanut'. These split peanuts are what is often used in the snack bar and peanut butter industry, as they are still 100% peanut, but visually perhaps not as aesthetically appealing as a whole peanut.
