Uren with its close partnership with Aromatech designs, produces and sells a range of dynamic flavours for applications spanning all sectors of the food industry:

Alcoholic and alcohol-free drinks, dairy products, fruit preparations, diet/health products, biscuits, pastries, confectionery, animal feeds, ready meals, soups, meat, delicatessen, seafood, sauces, marinades, oils and vinegars, snacks and cheese products.

Flavours are available in the following formats; Liquids (oil- and water-soluble), Powders (by simple blend, encapsulation by spray-drying and granulation), Paste and Emulsions.

Thanks to our expertise in natural and organic products we can offer a wide range of natural and certified organic flavours for all types of applications. Natural and organic flavours are more than just a trend and now occupy a leading place in our ranges and in our innovations.

MOQ and Pack Sizes

MOQ is 25 kilos, and orders can be processed from 25 kilos to multiple tonnes and are supplied in the relevant packaging based on volume and customer site requirements.

In a proactive process, our sales, marketing and R&D teams work together on creative projects to develop ranges, anticipating or adapting to market trends.

The R&D laboratories of Aromatech have developed a range of ‘value added flavours’ including two (Sensalt® / Sensugar®) that are able to reproduce the taste of salt or sugar and meet our customers’ ‘clean label’ requirements. By enhancing either salt or sugar notes already found in a finished product it enables approximately 25% of either salt or sugar to be substituted for its relevant alternative without compromising on taste.

In order to develop a successful flavouring solution, flavourists and evaluation teams of the group studied and evaluated salt and sugar profiles and flavouring sequence. These were then reconstituted from strictly natural raw materials. It was important to consider all sensations delivered by salt or sugar during tasting, especially the big first impact, its mouthfeel, its enhancer power and all descriptors identified during the tasting.

Sensalt® is a natural flavour containing no additive and no potassium chloride, often used in some salt enhancers. This avoids the metallic bottom notes and bitterness that can be found with some additives that must also be declared on labels (E508), which doesn’t suit current consumers’ expectations.

Sensugar® is a natural flavour containing no additive and no Stevia found in some sugar replacers. This avoids the metallic bottom notes often found in reduced sugar food and beverages.

Uren’s flavours are specially formulated for alcoholic and alcohol-free drinks, available in liquid, emulsion or soluble form and spray-dried or granulated powder (for instant beverages), according to application and manufacturing constraints.

We offer complete preparations incorporating texturing, colouring, opalescent and acidifying agents, fruit juice, functional ingredients and sweeteners. Our main areas of expertise are:

For sweet products such as confectionery, pastries and biscuits, Uren offers specific flavours for pleasure, taste and sensory sensation. They are tested under real manufacturing conditions to take into account processing and cooking constraints. Our main areas of expertise are:

Uren has a perfected range of sweet and savoury flavours specifically developed for meal replacements, soups and other diet products, sports products and cereal bars. Our main areas of expertise are:

The market in Intermediary Food Products comprises specialist products (cheeses, vegetables, sauces, etc.) for which Uren offers Top Notes from its AROMATOP® range.

Top Note is a component of savoury flavours, generally the smallest component quantitatively but the most important in terms of its organoleptic impact and its complexity. It is a product with high added value and it requires a high degree of technical expertise during processing.

Uren offers Top Note flavours for semi-processed food products, allowing producers to characterise their products.

AROMATOP® Top Notes are available in concentrated form as encapsulated by spray-drying or liquid depending on the final application.

The AROMATOP® range includes Meat, Seafood, Cheese flavouring, Alcohol flavouring, Vegetables, Spices and Seasonings.

The ready meals market has developed considerably in recent years with technically complex products and flavours to meet consumers’ expectations of variety and taste. The main trends continue to be nutrition and health with products lower in salt and fat and free of additives and artificial products.

Today soup is consumed hot or cold and has become a fashionable dish. With the emergence of original recipes, developed by chefs, of premium products along with ethnic flavours, consumers have access to a large choice of soups offered in liquid or dried form. Furthermore, soups have a positive healthy image thanks to their vegetable content and to the development of recipes (additive- and preservative-free and with reduced salt).

Bouillons are now considered essential cooking aids and have acquired an image as a natural product, particularly with the emergence of innovations such as jellied bouillons. Our main areas of expertise are:
